In a recent episode of the Vanderpump Rules After Show following the Season 11 premiere, Ariana Madix, 38, opened up about a cringe-worthy gift that her ex-boyfriend, Tom Sandoval, had bought for Raquel Leviss during their time together.

Recalling the incident, Ariana shared her discomfort, saying, “I would be in the house, and there’s a box on the kitchen counter and it’s addressed to somewhere in Arizona, and it’s just full of who even freaking knows what.” She went on to describe the peculiar gift as a friendship lamp that Sandoval, 41, purchased for Raquel, 29, allowing them to communicate when they were physically apart. “It’s Bluetooth where if I touch it where I am, it will turn on where you are,” she explained, adding, “Oh my god, I can’t.”

Sandoval, when questioned about the communicative lights, admitted, “Yeah, I was very much in love,” and revealed that he would send Raquel candy and other gifts as tokens of affection. He even shared details about going the extra mile by signing her cards, stamping them with wax, and adding sparkles for that special touch.

The relationship dynamics took a turn when Ariana and Sandoval, who had been together for nearly nine years, ended their romance in March 2023 due to Sandoval’s affair with Raquel. Following the conclusion of Season 10 of Vanderpump Rules, Raquel sought help in a mental health facility in Arizona. Five months later, it was reported that Raquel had cut off contact with Sandoval and would not be returning for Season 11.

Before severing ties with Sandoval, Raquel sent her own set of presents to the home she still shared with Ariana, including a lightning bolt postcard. During the “After Show,” Ariana disclosed that she would notice mail addressed to Sandoval from Raquel arriving at the house.

Reflecting on Raquel’s actions, Sandoval explained that the postcard was sent a month before it arrived, describing it as an “insane” decision. Ariana, expressing uncertainty about Raquel’s mindset, speculated that Raquel had “zero concept” that she could intercept the letter as a co-owner of the house.

As Season 11 of Vanderpump Rules unfolds, the tangled web of relationships and past actions continues to unravel, promising more drama and revelations. The reality series airs on Bravo Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET, with episodes available for streaming on Peacock the next day.
