How ‘Below Deck’ Star Kate Chastain Stole The Show

Published

on

Kate Chastain is no traitor. Her fellow contestants on The Traitors eventually realized this, though it took them late in the game to do so and long after she’d already stolen the show thanks to her biting one-liners and controversial strategy.

The Below Deck alum returned with a force to the reality TV life she’s so good at in the new competition series The Traitors, which dropped in full on Peacock earlier this month. Based on the Dutch series De Verraders, the game show follows the players, collectively known as “the faithfuls,” as they try to identify and vote out three traitors hiding in their group in order to win a shared $250,000. The traitors, who secretly banish faithfuls throughout the game, win the money if they can avoid getting voted off.

Peacock compiled an Avengers-like assembly of reality TV greats and other celebrities (alongside other contestants) to compete in a variety of team challenges. The Bachelor’s Arie Luyendyk is there. So are Survivor legends Cirie Fields and Stephenie LaGrossa, as well as Big Brother alumni Rachel Reilly and Cody Calafiore. Even storied Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte is partaking in some Knives Out–style scheming. Alan Cumming is there too as the tartan-wearing host of the campy series set on a lavish Scottish estate.

In the end, Fields took home the prize pot as the only traitor to survive. It was a triumphant win for the reality TV veteran who is often considered one of the best Survivor players to have never won the CBS series. Her fellow original defectors on The Traitors (Calafiore and Christian de la Torre, an LA-based content creator) were voted out. Luyendyk, who became a traitor later in the game, took himself out in the final episode.

Chastain finished fifth after largely being sidelined for most of the game, which was in part a result of her self-ostracization. Below, Chastain opens up about her experience on The Traitors, explaining what she thought of Fields’s win, what she’d change in a second season, Oh, why exactly she signed on in the first place.

“I wanted to do it until I realized [that] I’m never going to win this and everybody’s against me,” she told BuzzFeed News. “So rather than just accept defeat, I decided, ‘Let’s make the best of it and have some fun along the way.’”

Published

on

Akshay Kumar and Emraan Hashmi bring back the hit track Main Khiladi Tu Anari with a twist for their upcoming film Selfiee. The foot-tapping remix, called Main Khiladi, also features Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty as all of them recreate the iconic hook steps from the popular song from the 1994 film, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, which featured Saif Ali Khan with Akshay. The remix has left fans nostalgic. Also read: Selfiee trailer: ‘Superstar’ Akshay Kumar, his ‘biggest fan’ Emraan Hashmi have a face-off over driving licence

Main Khiladi features Akshay, Emraan Hashmi, Nushrratt and Diana in glammed-up avatars. Almost a dance-off challenge, the song comes alive with their goofy expressions and smooth moves. It’s sung by Udit Narayan and Abhijeet Bhattacharya, with the original lyrics by Maya Govind and music by Anu Malik.

The original track is from the 1994 movie of the same name. It featured Akshay alongside Saif. Main Khiladi is the latest music recreated by Tanishk Bagchi who is known for his Bollywood remixes. Sharing the new song, Akshay wrote, “Lights, camera, naacho (dance)! Main Khiladi full songOut now. Selfiee in cinemas from February 24.”

Reacting to the song, a user wrote in the comments section of Akshay’s Instagram Reels, “Imagine what will happen in the theatre when this song played goosebumps moments.” Another fan commented, “You are never getting old.” Someone else also said, “Akki’s (Akshay’s)) expressions and energy is irreplaceable, he just nailed the performance the OG Khiladi is back.”

Selfiee is directed by Raj Mehta. It is the official Hindi remake of the Malayalam film Driving License, which starred Prithviraj and Suraj Venjaramoodu in lead roles. In the Hindi adaptation, Akshay plays the role of a superstar while Emraan, his biggest fan, appears as a cop. The two are seen at loggerheads after Akshay lost his driving license.

Akshay and Emraan end up challenging each other. While Akshay says he will get the license anyhow, Emraan says he will have to get the document just like a ‘common man’. It’s touted to be an action drama. It’s also the first collaboration between Akshay and Emraan.

The film is backed by the late Aruna Bhatia, Hiroo Yash Johar, Supriya Menon, Karan Johar, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Apoorva Mehta, and Listin Stephen. It is slated to release in theatres on February 24, 2023.

Shah Rukh Khan’s pictures from the sets of Jawan go viral

Published

on

Shah Rukh Khan put an end to the four-year wait with Pathaan. In just six days, the Siddharth Anand-directed movie brought in 600 crore rupees worldwide. But SRK’s upcoming films as well as Pathaan only hint at what’s to come. There will be two more releases in this year, 2023. Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki will be released in December, and his next film will be Atlee’s Jawan, which will have a major release in June. Shah Rukh is now back at work on the Jawan sets after the enormous success of Pathaan.

For Jawan, Shah Rukh is working with Atlee, who is regarded as one of the most successful filmmakers in the Tamil film industry. Even though nothing major about the eagerly anticipated movie has been revealed, the intriguing first-look poster hinted that Jawan would be packed with both action and entertainment. The decision of the superstar to work with director Atlee surprised moviegoers greatly because it was completely unanticipated. Interestingly, the actor-director team delayed officially announcing the project until major portions of filming were complete.

Shah Rukh Khan Jawan

With its impressive star cast, Jawan, which reportedly stars Shah Rukh Khan in a double role, has already caught audiences’ attention. The female lead in the movie is opposite SRK and is played by Nayanthara, the lady superstar of South Indian cinema. Famous actor Vijay Sethupathi plays the main antagonist in the movie Jawan. The much-anticipated film will also feature a special appearance by Tamil superstar Thalapthy Vijay. Priya Mani, Sanya Malhotra, Yogi Babu, Sunil Grover, and other prominent actors appear in supporting roles in the film.

Ditch Heavy, Cakey Setting Powder WIth This $7 Drying Powder On Amazon

Dear makeup, I love you, but sometimes, you break my skin out and clog my pores. I’m looking at you especially, setting powder. I adore a matte, flawless look as much as the next person, but recently, my skin has become uber-sensitive to the types of products I use— even after cleansing my face multiple times, using makeup wipes and doing a full skincare routine, I tend to break out the morning after I do my full makeup.

I’ve tried my fair share of products, from TikTok-viral foundations and setting powders with cult followings in the beauty community, and I’ve pored through enough reviews to fill up a book. I was convinced that all hope was lost, and I would be perpetually stuck doing skincare damage control every time I put on my beloved makeup (ever heard that phrase, “Beauty is pain?”), until I came across this lightweight sebum drying powder from Etude House.

This holy grail product consists of loose powder that contains 80% mineral. Its primary purpose is to control extra sebum and oil on your face while improving the health of your skin. It’s not a setting powder, per se; it’s more lightweight and contains beneficial ingredients like sugar polymer and cotton extact so your face doesn’t feel like it’s caked on with layers of makeup.

If I had to describe this powder in a phrase, it would be “skincare with the benefit of matte makeup.” You can put it on over your basic skincare products or a full face of foundation— tinker around and find whatever routine works best for you. Personally, I apply my moisturizing skincare, then sunscreen (never skip sunscreen!), touches of concealer wherever needed and then finish off with this powder. The end result is a matte, poreless face that looks like I put on foundation— at least, that’s the verdict I’ve gotten from friends and family alike.

If you feel like it’s too good to be true (I assure you, it’s not), scroll below to read what some Amazon reviewers have said about this product. The best part? It’s only $7, and a little goes a long way, so you’re truly getting the most bang out of your buck.
