Google will release its first smartwatch and Pixel 7 smartphones on October 6.

At the ‘Made by Google’ hardware launch event, new products that the firm debuted at its I/O developer conference earlier this year will be unveiled.

On October 6, Google will unveil the Pixel Watch and new Pixel 7 smartphones with second-generation chips.

The hardware launch event, dubbed “Made by Google,” will feature new products that the firm previewed at its I/O developer conference earlier this year.

“Everything is coming together. On October 6, join us live for MadeByGoogle. Sign up for updates and add to your schedule,” Google said in a tweet.

Google has stated that the second-generation “Tensor G2” chip will power the Pixel 7 series.

Tensor was developed in collaboration with Samsung to improve Exynos-like processors with Google’s machine learning expertise.

According to 9to5Google, the “Google Tensor G2” CPU is now mentioned on the redesigned magazine page for the Pixel 7.

The Tensor G2 chip is most likely to be in both the Pixel 7a from next year and a rumoured Google foldable gadget.

Tensor G2 will “add even more helpful, personalised features to pictures, videos, security, and speech recognition” on the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

The Pixel Watch will have a round, domed shape and a side button with a “tactile” finish.

The watch, which is made of recyclable stainless steel, will run Wear OS 3, which has a “refreshed UI” with improved navigation and intelligent notifications.

“It includes readily attachable bands that can be customised. With this watch, you can have Fitbit’s renowned health and fitness functions right on your wrist and the new Wear OS by Google experience “based on the firm.

Fitbit was purchased by Google for $2.1 billion. Beyond changing watch faces, the Fitbit connection will “imbue throughout” the Pixel Watch experience.
